"Home is where the art is." Decorating your home with beautiful art is the most economical way of customizing or updating your look.
Add a purple and snowy scene or a bright colorful vista with red and yellow flowers and match with a few new throw pillows, and you have a totally new feel to your home.
When I paint, nature most often inspires me a … a snowy scene, a bouquet of flowers, buffalos on the prairie. I try to reflect nature in every stroke i paint, in every color I choose.
I hope that the beautiful scenes I paint can bring warmth and excitement to your home. When you purchase one of my paintings, you can be sure it is one of a kind … an original!
Three-dimensional art can add another dimension to your decor. Your selection of objects to display in your home says a lot about you. By adding a grouping on a table or several scattered around a room, you can change the whole feeling of the room.
Gourds have been created by artisans for a hundred years. They are one-of-a-kind pieces that take much time to complete and which seem to have a life of their own. With each gourd, I sit for a while turning and studying it. I try to get a feel for what it says to me; what shape it will take. If you really look at my pieces, you'll see what I mean. The gourd will select you!

My art flows from the emotional and spiritual experiences of everyday life. I am driven by the freedom of unrestrictive movement and the ability to create that which is within. Absolute certainty is unknown at inception, therefore results develop as creative thoughts manifest. Vibrant colors guide the painting's direction and composition. My objective is to evoke an emotional response as the viewer and the art unify as one.
I continue to seek a deeper emotional connection to my paintings and not be bound by subjective as well as objective reality. Occasionally the painting has already chosen a path and I surrender to it by letting go. The results vary in composition but stay true to my guiding principles.
Breaking the rules allows me the freedom to explore, discover, and provide a heightened sensitivity to color and composition. The challenges in creating abstract art are only limited by my inability to convert the emotions I experience into a creative visual expression. I paint with my instinct and trust in my intuition.

I love color! … bright, clear color. The golden sunshine on a rose, the cool green of a forest, and the soft purple mist at sunset are breathtaking. Beautiful colors always make me smile.
My inspiration for any painting usually starts with something that catches my attention and evolves into a composition in which color plays the central theme and almost to the exclusion of the subject. I use broad strokes of bright color for their visual impact and work to place pure hues one against another to create a striking contrast.
Like decorating a home, I approach creating my painting like solving a problem. What mood do I want to convey? How will my color selection influence the composition? How will people feel when they see it?
I hope my paintings can help you solve your decorating problems … bring joy to your room, and make you smile.
